Tenison Apartments offers an enhanced lifestyle for older persons in a relaxed community environment, right on the waterfront at Swansea.

The service is located in a well established residential area just minutes from the coast and the less than one kilometre from the Swansea shopping centre.

The residential care service is contemporary, with major upgrade and extension works having been completed as recently as 2003.

The apartments are grouped in household clusters, with internal links to the major common areas.

• All rooms have private ensuites and patios, with pleasant outlooks.
• Each apartment is provided with a fan, telephone & television points.
• All community areas are fully air-conditioned
• Staff are on duty at all times to provide care and assistance to residents
• Residents have ready access to a range of medical & paramedical services eg visiting Doctors, physiotherapy, aromatherapy and podiatry Other in-house services include hairdressing & beauty treatments (pedicures, manicures, etc)
• There is a wide range of in-house activities supported by a Lifestyle Coordinator, including exercise programs, fashion parades, barbecues, bus trips & outings, bowls, bingo & Happy Hour.
• Christian worship services are held in the Chapel on a regular basis.

Our ongoing fees are set by the Commonwealth Government at 85% of the Age Pension. Where a resident has non-pension income in excess of the Government threshold the resident is also required to contribute 25% of that additional income.

There aren't any pre-determined, fixed entry contributions (accommodation bonds).

Every prospective resident is considered individually and arrangements determined that reflect his/her own personal circumstances. Those without means are not required to make a contribution.

It must be emphasised however that where a resident does pay us a contribution the maximum amount retained by us is limited by Government regulation.
