Southern Cross Village offers an enhanced lifestyle for older persons in a relaxed community environment.

The facility is state-of-the-art, offering a high level of comfort and amenity to all residents.

The original 30 apartments were only completed in 2003, with a further 10 apartments completed in 2006.

• The single-storeyed accommodation is set in generous, park-like grounds.
• The majority of rooms have patios opening to the courtyard gardens.
• All rooms have private ensuites
• Each apartment is provided with fans, heaters, telephone & television points.
• One cluster of ten apartments is specifically designed to help cater for the needs of older people with special needs, including dementia.
• All common areas are air-conditioned
• Staff are on duty at all times to provide care and assistance to residents
• There is access to a range of medical & paramedical services eg visiting Doctors, podiatry
• The range of in-house activities includes exercise programs, fashion parades, hairdresser, barbecues, bus trips & outings, indoor bowls, bingo & Happy Hour - all are supported by a Lifestyle Coordinator
• Christian worship services are held in the Prayer Room on a weekly basis.

Our ongoing fees are set by the Commonwealth Government at 85% of the Age Pension.

Where a resident has non-pension income in excess of the Government threshold the resident is also required to contribute 25% of that additional income.

There aren't any pre-determined, fixed entry contributions (accommodation bonds).

Every prospective resident is considered individually and arrangements determined that reflect his/her own personal circumstances.

Those without means are not required to make a contribution. It must be emphasised however that where a resident does pay us a contribution the maximum amount retained by us is limited by Government regulation.
